What is Hypersonic Transport? (HST)

Hypersonic Freight is the next generation freight and passenger transport.  CFFC will begin offering the service of intercontinental flights of under 3 hours from any supporting airport in the world to any supporting airport in the world.

Calico can be designated as a suborbital craft which carries upto 24 paying Hypersonic Passengers and/or  several tonnes of cargo to cities throughout the world.  The limitation is the facilities available at the landing runway, airport clearance BEFORE takeoff, and the airport of origin.  Arrangements would be made so that our craft would be at the right airport at the right time, from there, we offer a 3 hour flight to any airport capable of handling a DC-10.

The range of this craft on Earth is for all intensive purposes infinite.  We can land at any supporting site from any supporting site. Longer trips however will be emphasized such as the New York to Tokyo run, Los Angeles to London, London to Hong Kong, London to Tokyo, and routes such as Sydney to London or Sydney to New York which have never been possible.

How fast is hypersonic?
We're talking about average speeds above Mach 5  (5 times faster than the speed of sound) and 6+ times faster than your typical flight.

Example:
Flights from New York to Tokyo would reduce from approximately 16~18 hours to less than 3 with flight time of 30 minutes.

How much will it cost?
Flights will be comparable to that of supersonic carriers of the past only with distance and increased speed convience added into the ticket price.

Will it make me sick?
Acceleration is at 2 times that of gravity or 2 gees. Rollercoasters exceed the 2 gee effect regularly (sometimes up to 4 or more gees) and the safety requirements for flying aboard the Hypersonic Suborbital Transport (HST) will be very similar to those listed at a theme park.

What is Satellite Transport?

Satellite Transport is the mainstay of our program and our most capable means.  We can launch at a rate of 42 satellites per week if necessary to a range of orbits.  Costs for this service are far less than those offered by the United States' Space Shuttle.  Our costs compare 23 tonnes at $600 million per launch for the shuttle, while we offer 23.4 tonnes at $19 million.

Our launches will be superior in number since we can launch each craft up to twice per day, unlike the shuttle at once every few months. And soon after startup we will have flown more missions in 5 years compared to that of NASA, ESA, and the former Soviet Union from 1960-2000.

We can launch satellites of sizes from extremely small to the medium class of 1.8 metric tonnes.  And perhaps most importantly the end user is using a crewed vehicle with on-site repair and no-go deployment possibility

Subdivisions of the Satellite Transportation group are:
MICROSATELLITE LAUNCH those satellites less than or equal to 50 kg (110lb) in mass
MEDIUM SATELLITE LAUNCH those satellites between 1800kg and 50kg in mass.
LARGE SATELLITE LAUNCH those satellites requiring orbital assembly or those with separate mass of greater than 1800kg and less than 15,000 kg.

What is Space Tourism?

Space Tourism is the private citizen's access to space.  We provide the transportation, you enjoy the most amazing view you've ever seen and zero gee flight.

KITTEN TOURS- or CFFC GUIDED SUBORBITAL FLIGHTS are flights aboard the TGS Kitten Class XPRIZE vehicle. We plan on offering several of these flights per week dependent upon crowd size and weather conditions.
ORBITAL FLIGHTS are flights dedicated to experiencing a little bit of zero gee living.  These flights will take the passenger from a altitude of 250 km upto 750 km (400 miles) above sea level.
LUNAR FLIGHTS are the showstoppers. Less than 30 individuals worldwide and none since 1980 have ever seen the far side of the Moon this is one of those opportunities only the elite have had.

What is MicroGrav Research?

MicroGrav Research is a diverse field featuring the production of micro-gravity proteins, pharmaceuticals, silicon growth, crystalline strands, fiber structures, biomechanical research, astronomy, micro-gravity biology, micro-gravity construction processes, and many more exciting possibilities.

LIMITED MICROGRAV RESEARCH- Experiments conducted within the limited environment capacity inside the Calico Class craft's creel.
UNLIMITED MICROGRAV RESEARCH- Experiments conducted within the larger realm of our dedicated orbital research facility.

What is Orbital Maintenance?

Orbital maintenance is the ability to maintain existing space infrastructure such as space stations, satellites, removing debris from orbit, and providing emergency crew return services, emergency telecommunications uplink capacity, and emergency repair services.

Examples:

Satellites need refueling or they become useless; CFFC can refuel the satellites.
Satellites become obsolete due to hardware aging; CFFC can upgrade.
Satellites become damaged; CFFC can perform repairs.
Space stations need resupply; CFFC can ship cargo and transport crews.
Debris is a hazard to satellites and infrastructure; CFFC can help.
Satellite network goes down; CFFC deploys an emergency satellite LAN link to replace capacity.

LEO ORBITAL MAINTENANCE- Is the service provided to LEO or Low Earth Orbit satellites and structures.
GSO ORBITAL MAINTENANCE- Is the service provided to GSO or Geosynchronous Orbit satellites and structures. This service is twice the cost due to heightened fuel needs, extended flight distance and crew shift length, and on-orbit refueling requirements.

What are KITCRAFT?

KITCRAFT or KITTEN SUBORBITAL CRAFT SELF ASSEMBLY KIT are spacecraft you can build and own.  There are three conditions:

1). You must have permanent residence in the United States.
2). You must be a shareholder of Cerulean Freight Forwarding Company and/or its subsidies.
3). You must prove you can operate the craft under FAA regulation

These kits will be sold under the Cerulean Freight Forwarding Company for a limited time after the XPRIZE competition has been resolved. Thereafter the division will be sold/spun-off to a corporation with desire to expand the access of the private citizen to these craft and thus to space.  For specs on the TGS Kitten
